We've used vet services and kennels multiple times, and both have been excellent quality and value.
If you want to spend 3 hours here for a vet appointment then this is the place to be! They make you wait in the rooms forever to be seen and are extremely expensive. The straw that broke the camels back for me however was when I overheard one of the staff members say my cat looked like he'd eaten another cat due to his size. Extremely unprofessional and rude.
WOW!!! Great place to board your dog! My Rosie gets treated like a queen. I get to see pictures of her while I'm gone while interacting with the other dogs and she just enjoys her experience every time. Everyone is so nice and all my questions were answered quickly. I recommend them to everyone.
For my review, I have not been to this vet, I have not received any service, and I will be going to 30A Vet, or Kindness Pet Hospital, or Santa Rosa - all within minutes of the Emerald Shores.
6 - She attempted to force us to buy a huge bag of royal canin food claiming her urine PH was off (we had it checked two weeks prior and it was fine)
1 - We called ahead, had our records faxed in and attempted to determine what the emergency policy was (which we never did, thank god we didn't need it).
7 - We felt like this place was more focused on $$ and running extra tests and selling special foods than they were concerned with our dogs health.
2 - They claimed our faxed records didn't make it the first two times we sent them. Once there, we waited around two hours to have a basic exam done with a CBC.
Called today - and asked - What the cost to have a pet seen by the vet? The answer I got, just now - is making me go to another vet in the area. They could not tell me what the cost to be seen. Not other treatment, not prescriptions, not tests - just what is the base cost to be seen by the vet - I got: "i think" "I believe" "it might be $42" This makes me think all these other reviews are correct.
9 - The staff flat out isn't friendly (especially the vet herself).
We took our dog here for some follow up check-ups while on vacation after our dog had a serious reaction to medicine. We had countless issues with just two trips to this vet. I highly recommend you find yourself another vet in the area.
5. - The vet attempted to cram medicine down our dogs throat without even explaining what it was, or letting us say if we approved of it (or wanted to pay for it for that matter)
4 - The Dr.'s personality was very overpowering and she didn't spend any time explaining what was going on.
3 - The Dr. had serious issues doing basic tasks like getting urine from the bladder.
8 - The office claimed they had to "fit" us into the schedule. When we arrived, there was no other people or animals in offices. We still had a ridiculously long wait time.
10 - The prices are higher than any other vet we've been to (including the vet hospital at Auburn).
