Awesome oysters, crab cakes and salad. Service was stellar as well. Thanks

Awesome service and beautiful staff

7 Locals First Visit. First let me say this was opening weekend and there will always be kinks to be worked out. We ordered different items and will be posting pictures on Yelp. We sat inside - downstairs. The location of our table was in the middle of the waitress station, oyster bar, bar and kitchen. Not a desirable spot at all. During most of the meal we had someones "backside" in our faces (depending on your spot at the table). The waitress was polite and you could tell she was working hard. We had a tough time clearing away dishes as we ate as our waitress was busy but the three others hanging in the waitress station just stood buy? They do pick up the oyster trays quickly (I would assume they need these more than soup and salad plates/bowls). The oysters we good. Everyone seemed to enjoy them. Not sure where they were from as we never received that information (we did ask). I would suggest if there are several of you at the table wanting oysters order them by the dozen versus 2 orders of half dozen just to save a few $$. The Fried shrimp basket was good. The number of shrimp that you get is based on the weight (8oz). I believe this order had 12 shrimp (med size). The Wedge Salad is the standard wedge cut in half and served on a long plate versus one large wedge. The roquefort dressing was a bit overpowering for 1 member of our group. The Bisque received 2 thumbs up. The size of the bowl is a bit large for the portion. The Grouper Sandwich (grilled) was also a hit. Everyone loved the standard fries that came with the plates. They are the thinner fries not the larger ones that seems to be on the food distributors trucks these days. They were cooked to perfection for all of us. The burger was less than desirable. The patty itself seemed to be pre-shaped? There is no tomato, just the tomato jam which is very sweet so unless you like sugar I would pass on it. There is NO mustard anywhere in the restaurant. Only honey mustard (more sugar). I was looking forward to the vermont cheddar on the burger. Unfortunately the cheese was left off my burger and I was unable to flag the waitress down again. Oh well. Although there is open-air/outdoor seating. We were told that they are NOT dog friendly. We are excited to have another place on this end of 30A and are looking forward to Shunk Gulley's Success.

Spectacular building and a great gulf view. But the service was very slow. Food arrived after a very long wait and was cold when it finally did arrive including the soup.... which was lukewarm. Wonderful ambience, but needs a lot of tweaking to bring it up to expected standards. Spent over $200 for lunch for four adults and a couple of small kids who shared a chicken basket. Expected something better. Won’t return until the bugs have been worked out.
